Hi! I’m Mikayla Thoits, a 21-year-old ISSA-certified personal trainer and owner of MacFitness. My passion for movement and health started at age 4 with soccer, and it’s only grown stronger since. I believe that fitness is essential not just for physical health, but also for mental well-being, having personally experienced its positive impact on my own struggles with anxiety and depression.
My Journey to Personal Training
While my initial plan was to play college soccer, my path changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. I discovered a love for personal training, inspired by my mom, who is also a trainer. With her support and guidance, I pursued this new dream and turned it into a fulfilling career.
