Functional Movement and Strength Training
What’s up! I’m Cameron Power, owner of Power Fitness – Personal Training. I’ve been active since I was 3 years old, when my parents signed me up for martial arts. That sparked a lifelong passion for fitness, and now here I am with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology as a Fitness Specialist, pursuing my dreams of helping everyday people move better than they ever thought possible. I’m a big fan of combining weight training and bodyweight training to build strength, resilience, and a body that can handle whatever life throws at it. You’re capable of more than you think, and I’d love to prove it to you.
My Fitness Journey
For most of my life I was extremely underweight. I was always involved in at least one sport, but only during high school did I discover the wonderful world of strength training! I started lifting small dumbbells in my living room and once I saw some progress, I realized I had to join a gym. After messing around with weights for a couple years and getting most of my information from the internet, I decided I needed to go to school to figure out how to do this correctly. Using what I’ve learned, I am now the strongest I’ve ever been, doing handstand pushups, performing chest-height box jumps, and lifting a lot more than I was in high school. And now I want to show you how you can do the same!
My Approach To Training
Everyone has their own specific needs, and I will help you discover what works best for your goals and lifestyle. I get so much joy out of seeing my clients succeed, and will make sure that you see results in:
- Functional Strength: Move your body in all directions and positions with improved speed, strength, and confidence.
- Endurance: Be able to move your body for longer periods of time with less burnout.
- Enjoyment: Find what types of exercise bring you the most joy and capitalize on it.
- POWER: Be able to generate the maximum amount of force in the shortest amount of time. Power declines much faster than strength with age, so make sure you give it some love!
